I got 2 pairs of Vapor X's in 2019 and they're still in playing shape (I play about once a week). A main criticism of the Vapor line has always been low durability, but I have no issues on that front, either. Certainly, different players need different things out of their shoes, but I have a fairly thin foot and I am totally happy with my Vapor Pros. With every evolution from Nike, there are lots of folks who call the change TERRIBLE, but for me, they've all been great. Over the years, I've gone from the Vapor 9.5, to the Vapor X, and now to the Vapor Pro. Great for me I was unswayed by the mixed reviews here and on other sites. Thicker tread in high-wear zones for added durability. Outsole: Generative design for ideal traction, and provides give for those hard-court sliders.Full-length foot frame on lateral side for stability. Midsole: Zoom Air unit in heel and soft foam midsole provide responsive, low profile cushioning and a low to the ground feel.Asymmetrical lacing helps hug feet and add support during lateral movements. Upper: Step-in comfort with stretchy internal sleeve and added durable mesh for a second layer of support and breathability. While not the most durable shoe in Nike's lineup, the outsole has been engineered with added tread in high-wear zones, and suits well for those players who slide into their shots! Players who have worn the Vapor X will recognize the midsole and outsole as a Zoom Air unit in the heel offers responsive cushioning underfoot while the generative outsole pattern enhances explosive directional changes. The asymmetrical lacing system has been strategically added for even more support when moving laterally. Nike has taken the best features of the shoe it replaces (the Vapor X) and adds in some new technology for the speediest Vapor yet! The upper has been redesigned and offers dual layers of support with a sock-like inner sleeve and a layer of durable mesh to assist in support and breathability. Players in search of premium lightweight performance can find it here, with the Air Zoom Vapor Pro! Worn on the pro tour by the likes of Nick Kyrgios, and Andrey Rublev.
